Not in a season where we were eventually relegated as I was not on this Forum the last time that happened! I have said that if we are top 6 by Christmas then I'd be happy with the progress of the team and on all 3 occasions we have ****ed up, 4th time lucky perhaps?

October 1983. Derby Manager Peter Taylor announced this after (I think) a home draw, which left us in 18th place. By Christmas we had climbed to....18th, just about to empark on a disastrous run of three points out of a possible 30 or so, which eventually helped to sink us into the BBG mud.

I would say you have hit the nail on the head there, most fans of a club of our size would be very happy to have a team that has consistently challenged for promotion for 3 successive years, has a local owner who has dipped his hand in his pocket and bought quality players.

Maybe this season will be the one!
