    Steve Gerrard

    Without doubt one of the finest players to play in the Premiership but was unlucky to be at Pool when they were very average in terms of League performances! Would have loved a player like him at Spurs. Never quite seemed to reach his best when playing for England but as with Hoddle before him we failed to build teams around our best players.

    How did you rate him Trick?

    13 May 2006 To be fair he was a very good player though.

    Fans from any club,anywhere in the world, would have loved to have had him in their teams. Fantastic player.

    Great player,.He can get back to what he likes doing best now like all the other smelly scouses.. BINDIPPING..

    Im not in the least bit interested in what he did or didnt do for Scousepool....
    But I did genuinely rate him for England and its a shame that players like him and Beckham eg, were few and far between when it came to actually caring about their country.
