Maybe this incident will sort out whatever issues effect the teams consistency. Cook and his staff need to do some serious man-management to get them playing as a team.

Club inquiry into what happened at half time starts this morning. Allegedly our club Captain took action which necessitated our big central defender requiring stitches. There's far too many buddy buddy relationships down there within the club hierarchy/management structure. No one strong enough to yield an axe on or off the field, when an axe is required.

The Chairman and PC are big drinking Oppos. Fact. Cook has his favourites in the squad who he won't drop under any circumstances. He may have to wield the axe however after this half time debacle, obviously it will depend on what the CEO reports from his investigation. Trouble is the way I see it we have a Manager who is obviously out of his depth, feeling the pressure of running a club who attract around 16k per home game, he plainly isn't up to it. However he is in the middle of a 3 year contract and therefore if he was to be sacked his payoff, plus his coaches, would be considerable. So for me sadly we are stuck with him. I for the love of me can't see us finishing in the top 3. We are good enough on certain days, woefully not on others. I thought Foorde was the answer to our Goalkeeping woes when he arrived, he clearly isn't. The defence continue to ship stupid goals at an alarming rate. The players behind Smith failed to produce enough Saturday, he was left on his own far too often being pulled and pushed by central defenders who were allowed to by a poor referee. We are out of the Cup so have no game this weekend. That could be a good thing, hopefully time to dust down and go again as they say. As for me at least I can have a Saturday watching the racing, the Hawks or whatever I decide to do.

If that's the case then the booing the other week was fully justified. No place for buddy buddy relationships at work. Pompey are in danger of turning into an us (the fans) and them (the club) situation again.
