    Jackett's post-Leeds comments

Gave no indication he was about to quit, speaking about "building a future".

It wouldn't surprise me if Jacket had got a telephone call on Saturday night

I was thinking something like that, or he's just a quitter which surprises me TBH, it won't look good on his cv but does that even matter in today's footballing world the way managers are coming and going.

We need a manger that loves the job and is in it for the long haul come what may, any out there?

Or maybe he realised that the squad was so poor there was nowt he could do - on top of the injuries we have.

At least he doesnt get a relegation on his CV and no club wanting his services will be worried about jackin in the RUFC job.

What were you thinking Kenny, coming to such a small town in Sheffield and expecting a budget to make improvements with? Oh and then there's all those players you hadn't heard of but assumed Stubbs had done a reasonable job of recruiting.

Is it a coincidence that the so called Head of Recruitment vacancy got stalled I wonder

No the head of recruitment is in a job and they didn't want him to leave straight away.
The question is will they still want to come and will the new manager be happy with whoever it is

My question was really, are you/we being naive ?

The club has said many things many of which have not come to fruition and perhaps disguised what was really going on.

We have had plenty of "speak" and the last transfer deadline period sticks in my throat. What a shambles those words were and the signing of DB is beyond .....

Yes I think we can be a bit naive but on this one I just like to think that when Jackett said they know their man then he's being honest, why would they lie about something like that unless no one wants the job

Jacket was light years ahead of Stubbs and no disrespect to Warney but you need to look further than him. What experience does Warney have? Surely he is one of the lads and would find it hard to manage and especially so without any experience. You may as well take on the job yourself
