Don't understand this clammer for ex millers.
The club has 2 choices accept we're going down and get a good lower league manager in or accept we're going down and get a good lower league manager in.

Some getting carried away with all this Rotherham lovers and crying business.
Let me get some reality back.
It's all been done on the cheap hasn't it so far...Shove Warney upfront and tell him to cry a bit and put good old Brecks in..Rotherham through and through....hold on a bit!..scratches head and thinks...Is this the same Brecks that deserted us and went off to Barnsley?
Can't be surely Shirley!
So we get the odd job man in and the hospitality bloke...no disrespect to the two guys but just getting my mind clear and things into perspective.
All seems to be part of the utter shambolic disaster to me...What next?
Oh I forgot the mysterious chief scout...Let's see,he was chosen by KJ who then left..Deja Vu seems to be setting in here..didn't this happen to a coaching position recently?
So whoever the new manager is,he gets the chief scout chosen by KJ who walked out for secret reasons.
It's not looking any better is it?
Still in TS we trust!
The good news is that those poor players through no fault of their own will be totally outclassed by QPR on Saturday.
Before anyone asks..I have no idea what we should do but probably not what we have done.
The complete set up needs rebuilding from bottom to top yet we seem to be giving the old guard jobs...It's started in tears and that's how it will probably end..Trust me!

We'll go round in circles from now on won't we.....OK stability for a while but from a fans prospective - what a mess !
Too many cooks I'm afraid !
FAN POWER: Social media and half baked sources of gossip - rumour - trouble making a lies proliferate and the directors refer to it - allegedly - in making decisions.
PLAYER POWER: Alleged references to players not getting the instructions of a long term - top professional footballer and respected coach that came to the club and sussed the squad out and started his cross matching of players and systems to play. ( he did have the "long term" in mind )
So - with the criteria above the board let the manager go....madness!
Fans can't run football clubs ....
Players can't run football clubs....
TS and more likely his son shouldn't buy into social media - it's dross !
The "long term" ( AS ) manager followed company instructions and was released before he had found out where the tea was brewed before he could affect the culture change required at this club.
Away from "the way Rotherham United should play".... what a joke !
The reasons for this season being a shambles is too much useless and downright incredulous information being absorbed by the decision makers to the detriment of the decision making process.
KJ ( in my opinion ) came and saw a club where the tail was shaking the dog and he was off like a shot out of the gun.
TS - phone a friend ( with a lot of dosh ) and not Warnock - he's managing a rival now - us going down is one less for his team to worry about.
lbj, you remind me of the religious folk, who, even with overwhelming evidence provided to them in the shape of evolution, natural selection, fossils, the age of the planet and of the universe, etc, etc, still, STILL blindly believes in God/Allah or any other form of religious mumbo jumbo.
Breckin's back so bring back Robins as well, yes he left but you probably would leave your job too if you doubled your wages, when he was here he brought youngsters through, organised the defence and we actually stayed in the cups longer than 5 minutes, I say give him another chance.
Ellis....I'm 60 - played football from birth and competitive football until 46. I've captained many of the teams - coached and managed teams - FA coaching badge with Ray Varardi and Mel Sterling and if you know them ( albeit they won't remember...lol ) Ray ate my sandwiches and Mel had 10 points removed for wearing his England kit ( for a laugh ). I was brought up overlooking Millmoor and trained many times with Rotherham United on Park Street - before sports science decided running up Fenton Road knackered the players knees.
I had the full apprenticeship on the TIVOLI and have 60 plus away grounds visited watching the lads and sang my heart out at the Halifax match (kop choir) without missing many matches for a long periods.
I see what I see - and can't abide mass hysteria based on 13 games when I saw improvement with a brand new squad - dealing with major injuries ( Captain Frecks & Captain Kirk ) - agents screwing up potential deals and overpriced players sensibly side stepped.
Alan had survived Cancer - which can "chill people out" a little - but he was a thinker - a great player and a respected coach. He wasn't a "personality" or public speaker of renown but he knew we had to play a disciplined defensive game to survive this year.
It takes time to sort all the above problems out and 13 games isn't enough.
But just my opinion - I'm not a religious type trying to indoctrinate anyone into thinking my way - I just offer an alternative point of view when someone simplifies the situation we now face by saying Stubbs was s##t it's all his fault - it isn't.
Personally I think sacking stubbs is the worst mistake TS has made and as unjust as the sacking of Alan Knill after selling two of best players - quoting poor results.....another farce to get Mark Robins in post.
UTM....You asked...lol
Said on another thread that if we are serious what we need to start with is a businessman (preferably one who has done something similar at another club) to build us up from the ground (and it will take time and money). Theo Epstein unfortunately isn't a 'soccer' man and isn't available. Who you ask?
Theo Nathaniel Epstein (born December 29, 1973) is an American baseball executive and attorney currently serving as the president of baseball operations for the Chicago Cubs of Major League Baseball.
On November 25, 2002, Epstein became the youngest general manager (GM) in the history of MLB when the Boston Red Sox hired him at the age of 28. In 2004, the Red Sox won their first World Series championship in 86 years and won another championship in 2007. Epstein resigned in October 2005, but was rehired as GM and executive vice president on January 24, 2006. On October 21, 2011 he resigned from his job in Boston to become president of baseball operations for the Chicago Cubs, who in 2016, went on to win their first World Series championship in 108 years.
Dear me; Millers weeping by the rivers of Rotherham for a lost Zion. Let's get real and assess the "likeliest" outcome here. Given TS's parsimony and corner-shop mentality the path of least resistance will be a two-pronged assault on the intelligence of our fan base. The reality will be a slow sinking, a retrenchment of expectations. This reality will be sugar coated in bluster about long term ambitions. Kiss goodbye to the Championship for decades; a spell in L2 is much, much more likely.
Merry Christmas Monty....
Let's face to truth of the matter and state the obvious.....
TS wants success....
He took over the club and saved it...
He said he'd deliver the NYS he did
He said he'd deliver the Championship he did
No one teachers you to be a parent of a new born.....or to handle your child's first day at school... and every other notable landmark in life....YOU LEARN ON THE HOOF !
Well the MILLERS are Tony's baby and thus far he's done ok for a first time parent.
This stage is puberty ( a bad stage ) where the kid has a mind of his own....ugh !
Well - within the context of this analogy I don't blame the guy for settling down and buying a little time - he's probably taking advice from all sources so he is satisfied with his next move.
He doesn't want to fail but he doesn't want to push too hard either.....he'll be forging a plan soon.....but stop all these arguments - NOT IN FRONT OF THE KIDS!
