    Bawtry Road Training Ground

Just what is happening with this land? It seems clear that the club prefer to put their cash into the Roundwood site with the hundreds of thousands already spent there no readind between the lines it would seem that the club are to build changing facility's there too. Surely this money would be better spent developing their own land. One of my thoughts is will this land be sold off to a developer for housing and if this were to happen would the club benefit in any way?

I think you're probably right, in fact it might be necessary to plug a hole in the finances.
However, I just don't understand the club paying money out on Roundwood when they don't own the site.
After all you wouldn't pay for a conservatory to be built on a property you were renting would you? It seems bizarre.

Yet another example of somebody behind the scenes putting a block on it?

TS made it clear on Radio Sheffield this evening that Roundwood will be the focus for future training facility investments, discussions have been held with the local Trust and architects asked to draw up plans. Inevitably, he wasn't pressed on why, or what happens to Brinsworth but the conclusion has to be that it will be sold. As we're adopting yet another cheap option, the likelihood is it's a money saving exercise in preparation for life after the Championship.

Roundwood will be put up for sale if Tata Steels is sorted out.
He`s been sat on the land at Brinsworth & yes he will more than likely sell it off for future development.
There`s not too much wrong with Roundwood if the changing rooms / showers are sorted out.
If I remember right there were only about 5 showers in the main building & it was cramped, so cramped we sometimes had to wash each others......move on.

The top pitch which Parkgate play on wont be used for training. It`s a decent pitch but the players train on the lower area.
If the changing rooms / showers get sorted it will be fine cheap option or not.

I remember somebody once paying to build a football stand on some land owned by an aging scrap dealer. Bizarre!
