Checkatrade Trophy v Sunderland Last Night

A close game between the sides and two well taken goals, Enobakhare again looks a class above, Connor Ronan again impressed me.

The penalty shoot-out also had it's drama, Burgoyne proved to be good at saving spot-kicks.

Don't like that academies are allowed to partake in the tournament, but if we're in it we might as well take advantage of it. Good to see the youngsters continue their development. Seems like Bright has little to prove at this level. Now he's gotta show it when he gets his chances with the first team.

I can't say i was happy at the start of the season that the club had entered the competition, but having now seen a couple of games, there's a lot that the youngsters can learn and also they play with no fear, each and every one of them look they are together and enjoying playing.

An away trip to Swansea awaits Wolves. I hope the youngsters give their all and can progress.
