Atkinson has performed well when getting on. I recall three times:

First was at home on 3rd January 2015, when he replaced Clark in the first half vs. Livingston in a 3-1 win.

Second was at Cappielow on 29th January 2014 when he again replaced Clark in the first half vs. Morton, when Queens had Higgins and Russell sent off and Queens almost held on for a 1-0 win until Archie Campbell scored in the 86th minute.

Third was at Dumbarton on 22 August 2015 when he replaced Thomson after he got a cut above his eye and Queens won 2-0.
