    Other outrageous decisions against Rotherham

Who can remember these shockers? Are there anymore that spring to mind?

The goal that never was at Valley Parade given by linesman in recent years, further back to the Man U replay when Nobby Styles hooked the ball out that was clearly over the line by some distance and not given by Jack Taylor who was the top ref then.just a couple that spring to mind, that were outrageous. The other one that stands out for me this season was the tackle on Greg Halford that broke his ankle and went unpunished, but the general performance of most refs is very poor, the Referees Association need to look at themselves honestly and impartially and a complete overhaul is desperately needed, remove the arrogant approach that they seem to have because we need the officials to be the best in every league, the Rugby League seems to have got it nearly right after an overhaul of their system, perhaps there is something to follow in football.

Matt Clarke sending off at Brighton's Goldstone ground for handling the ball outside the penalty area. The ref was up the other end of the pitch, and the video evidence showed clearly that neither Matt or the ball were outside the area when contact was made. Manager Billy McEwan took the case to appeal, but the ref's decision was not overturned!

    "Pollitt’s unjust red – Derby County 3 Rotherham 0 (01/02/2003)"

Can anyone possibly get me this footage please? I have searched for it several times over the years. I was there that day and remember how disgraceful the decision was, however, my stepdad (Derby fan, from Derby) has always swore blind Polly was about a foot outside his area! I want to prove to him once and for all, we were robbed - I've been bitter about this for nearly 14 years!

It certainly wasn't Billy McEwan; McEwan was long gone by the time Matt the Cat played for us. It was probably Phil Henson, though not being able to recall the incident, so not knowing what year it was, it could even have been Gemmill or McGovern.

Video ref is being tried out in FA cup .

It'll probably be used next season in championship, if it was being used this season I bet we still wouldn't have had a Penalty

It's definitely needed, Refs make mistakes but with some I've seen I can only come to the conclusion that some are being the 12th man
