    the damage of the drop

If we are to get relegated should we treat this as panic stations?
Venkys are going nowhere soon so what about our chances down in league one?
Well a revenue drop is not ideal considering our perilous finances but we should have the players for an immediate bounce back
of course we would have to get shot of a few
    Steele
    Lowe
    brown
    Marshall
    akpan
    Evans
all would free up much needed money for a rebuild
    GK Raya/fisher
    RB Nyambe/Henley
    CB Greer/Wharton/Travis/mulgrew
    LB Williams/Doyle
    LM Conway/Bennett
    DM Lenihan/mulgrew
    CM Guthrie/Tomlinson
    AM Mahoney/Rankin Costello
    RM Feeney/Mahoney
    FW Graham/stokes/Mansell
with the possibility that we will have a change of manager
    Dunn and Johnson?
as bad as relegation looks there are some glimmers of light.

    Not so sure Alf
no such thing as too good to go down but if it does happen we have a squad more than capable to bounce back under the right management.

Do not fall into that chestnut that you will bounce straight back up....

Everything needs to be done to stay in the Championship

I don't think it's a given that if we drop we will go straight back up however looking at our squad we have a strong league one side and under the correct management should bounce back
I do agree we should do all we can to retain our championship status first though.

ThameC and Robin: absolutely essential to try and stay up this season. You just never know where a slide will stop. I totally agree that we have a promising group of youngsters, but it would be much better to introduce them gradually in the Championship.
It would be a big call to expect them to produce the goods en masse in a lower Division.
If only we can produce seven points from the next three games, things won't look so bad, but we desperately need some consistency.
When I look down your list, Robin, I actually a bit more cheerful, but I would still like to see someone influential and experienced in the creative midfield role.
The problem with that is, I was one of those who enthusiastically welcomed Danny Murphy!

We have that player in mulgrew however Coyle made the decision to make lowe his captain and now he is playing centrally
mulgrew is at the heart of defence but with the possible arrival of the 2 defenders from France it would allow mulgrew to be in central midfield as captain.

Bolton are financially in a far worse off position. Going down for them has actually turned things around. Crowds are up, as is the belief. Sadly Rovers fans just won't stick by their team like most footballs fan, and this 10k will drop to 5k overnight. That's a worry. But If you get in the right manager at that level (which is the crucial part) then the vast majority of our current squad will be far better than anything at that level. Obviously Coyle would need replacing. I'd suggest Keith Hill. Has good links with us, and has always done an excellent job with Rochdale. I don't believe going down would be the be all and end all. But all of this is a mute point while the Chicken Lovers are in town.

Totally agree champs as I said at the start of the thread we have a squad capable of a bounce back under the correct manager however venkys are incapable of making that decision
as for the fans winning brings crowds FACT
Premiership to conference higher up you are the more fans you have
of course having complete incompetent idiots as owners won't help either.
