Had surgery on a fractured skull after clashing heads yesterday in the Hull game. Brought back the horrible memory of John Buckley's incident with Gary Poole all those years ago at Millmoor - the scariest moment I ever witnessed on a football pitch. I'm wishing the lad all the very best for a full and long lasting recovery and hope he gets back to a career as soon as possible.

An ugly one, the cracking of head on head made me wince.

As rugby union is considered playing bans for those suffering head injuries I wonder if football would ever adopt the same idea?

Wish the lad a full & speedy recovery was horrible to hear & see it, will always remember john buckley`s awful clash happened right in front of where i was in enclosure, troubled me for weeks after with flashbacks of it was so pleased when he came through & survived the incident.
