    Port Vale know the score

We don’t trust Rangers to pay the money so that money has to be received before we will cancel the contract. Unless we have the money in our bank, we won’t press that button.”

Are Port Vale forever in and out of administration, a kind of English diddee, they hardly seem like a club who are in a position to lecture anybody on payments or anything financial, full stop.

It would be very remiss of a club, especially a club with a chequered financial past as you seem to infer PV had, not to ensure they get payment for transfer fees. When dealing with people that have previous for not paying debts and trying to welch out of contracts to people who loaned them money, it makes perfect sense to insist on money up front. They'd be crazy not to. It's hardly lecturing, it's merely stating their correct financial position.

Don't know about rumours but Clyde correspondents who usually won't hear a bad word said against Sevco repeat that Rangers (sic) are having to rely on soft loans just to make it to the end of the season.
