    Don't repeat last year's mistake

My opinion piece on why Rotherham need to appoint a manager before the end of the season.

If as rumoured we're allowing our chosen new manager to stay with his current club while ever they have a chance of promotion it's a dangerous strategy. If it is Gareth Ainsworth as the "in the know" brigade is suggesting he is more likely to be involved in a play off situation which will drag on past the season's end and hamper recruitment. He could even have second thoughts if Wycombe are promoted !!

Pure propaganda - to shift the blame.

"Most of the blame for this term’s demise will be rightly laid at Alan Stubbs’ door"

Came in late - due to NW procrastination.

    Chief scout "dissappeared"

Budget - biggest in league - not !

Two best players injured - long term !

Halford chasing players untroubled towards his own goal - too many times !

In all his eons of time in charge he had to:

Assess team / individuals - how good or not existing players are.

Find appropriate systems to suit said squad.

Work within budget / clubs philosophy on player recruitment.

Put up with malicious fans - for not waving !

Did I say - find the toilets !

In 13 weeks - Stubbs didn't have enough time to be blamed for this season....For God's sake !

I came home from the Newcastle game extremely impressed with the performance - could have won that game and praise from Rafa - we'll earned !

Chelsea trusted stubbs with Izzy - who played to Stubbs system - feeding Wardy to a score ratio of 1 / 2 games.
    ( Stubbs gone - Izzy gone )

    Wards goals ratio since Stubbs - 1 / 6

There was performance improvements match to match despite Freck's - Kirk missing and EXISTING players defending like school kids.

Just don't buy it - sorry....

I could go on - but I try to keep things short a sweet.....

    Summary - Blaming Stubbs - Bull###t

PS: AS players are our best players now!

I find this rumour hard to believe.
Isn't it considered illegal to "tap up" another club's manager?
If we haven't made an illegal approach then we must have formally asked the club concerned if we can speak to their manager.
So has that club agreed to allow the contact but with the caveat that we must wait to see if they go up first?
None of this rings true but if it is, it seems a very risky strategy as you say.

The next few months will be very decisive, if warney can get a few wins to me that shows promise & progression, give him a chance league 1 will be easier to gain more wins, can see improvements since he took over, Ajayi & Purrington look much better signings than some other disasters we have had, hopefully other 2 lads are of similar standard, relegation yes probably so but its not all doom n gloom we seen far worse than this guys.

Danny ward, let him go in the summer TS confirmed offer over £2 million recently, he wants championship football take the money & replace with young developing talent like recent signings.

I can keep it up as much as can do with your nonsense !

    All about opinions Mellow

In football terms - Stubbs was given an impossible job - but he bravely said he'd help us !

Niel Warnock ran a mile !

Kenny Jacket ran a mile !

And what's more important I saw improved performances and how well he actually did against incredible odds !

I wish we still had him - we would Izzy too....Chelsea rated him

    Who's right - You or Chelsea !

    Not forgetting:

Andy Holden : Assisted head coach Alan Stubbs.

The 51-year-old Welshman was a member of the backroom staff at Everton for 19 years, leaving Goodison Park in 2013.

"Everybody in the football department will be able to tap into his immense knowledge, which was gained working with excellent managers such as David Moyes and Walter Smith." said Stubbs.

Stubbs knew Holden well from their time together at Everton, where the former defender played and coached.

    And ...

John Doolan who left his position as Under-18 coach at Wigan to become first-team coach under Stubbs.

Just a few snippets about the management team that totally screwed our season up.....no one else - just Stubbs and these two cronies.....

One who served Everton for 19 years. The other youth development coach at Wigan.....nah....

Now we have our fitness coach - we love him but I know who I would have back in the hots seat....whether he waves or not !

    "Mr Personality"......pathetic !

If Stubbs is that good why hasn't he been snapped up by another club.
