Surely we have a say ?!

    Calling all anti-McGhee society members.
Money talks, so get on the phone, your email, twitter or whatever, and make this statement: 'until I know Mark McGhee will play no further part in the management of my beloved club you'll be getting no more direct debits from me'!

    Regards,

I understand the sentiment but don't agree with the method you suggest. By all means argue, persuade and advocate for change but don't threaten to weaken the Society.

Aye, very good...it's crap like that which makes me fear the Society will be a disaster and will only accelerate our journey to the First Division.

Sorry but that would only harm the club long term. If every member stops donations because of an issue they didn't agree with ie cost of pies; selecting player X; or whatever then we're sunk as aclub.

It wouldn't harm or weaken the club at all. It'd make them see we're sick of the arrogant and useless tossa. As soon as he's gone 1 press of a button reinstates a DD and then you pay a double month's worth.

If you pay the money then you should have a say. If you stop paying they may sit up and take notice.

(S)he has a say at the AGM and elections.

The club will react to less funding alright, it'll simply trim the budgets even more.

If that's truly the case then it'd be a club / board that doesn't listen to it's supporters. Point being ... you can't always time drastic changes to coincide with formal elections or similar type events. The man must go. His demeanour this past month off the park has brought MFC into disrepute, and his team management clearly shows he's no clue what needs to happen on the park.

I don't blame the club for not listening to our supporters in most cases in fairness.

The problem is that you can't please all of the people all of the time. Say 70% of members want him sacked. The Directors then act accordingly. The remaining 30% of members say that the Society didn't listen to them. Members have to be members for the long haul.
