    Cardiff City Post Match Thoughts

Well that's the playoffs gone then! Is the pain a lot less when you know what's coming or is today's result like expecting a slap in the face but getting a kick in the balls for good measure?

    Thoughts?

Let's face it we didn't expect to win today at an in form Cardiff, but to lose like that really stings, don't really know what else to say.

Beggars belief that 4 (5 if you count Joel Ekstrand ) that played today are supposed to be playing for new contracts for next season.

72 goals against and -42 goals say`s it all.

Have a good clear out at the end of the season and start from scratch.

I don't think the pain is less, even when it is anticipated. Your analogy is spot on (and very funny)

I'm not a big fan of unsubstantiated conspiracy theories but I hope the one about the new manager already in place for the end of the season has some truth in it.

If not, and TS genuinely believes that Warney is the answer, then this sorry season could be the thin end of the wedge.

I would love to post something original but everything has been said.

The reason why we lost today:
    O Donnell: Div 1 standard
    Kelly: Div 2 standard
Ekstrand: Equivalent of Div 2 standard cos knacked
    Wood : Div 1 standard
    Purrington: Div 1 standard
    Smallwood: Div 1 standard
    Taylor: Div 1 standard
    Newell: Div 1 standard
    Vauks: Div 2 standard
Mattock: Div 2 standard as midfielder/ Div 1 as left back
    Blackstock: Non league

Note not one championship quality player

None of this is Warneys fault. We have a lower league 1 club playing in the championship. That is the reality. The team that played today would struggle to compete in league 1 and would realistically be mid to lower league 2 in effect.

I wonder if we should ask the football league if we can just play league one and 2 teams now in friendlies just to get some practise in.

    The club hasn't even got a " itch " to scratch, Casper64Frank.
