Didn't go.
Sick of Groundhog Day.
Ajayi man of the match with Vaulks a close second. Yates not good enough at this level (and maybe at L1 level too) but should have scored with the chance he had. Frecks good first half, faded badly second. Smallwood and Newell look half the players they were last season. Taylor, never been convinced with him, runs about a lot but flatters to deceive - poor end product. We rarely looked like creating a scoring opportunity and when Brighton stepped it up after the break they won at a canter.
More or less agree with S8.
Didn't understand why Mattock was took off though, I'm sure there's an excuse but I won't buy it
I think Smallwood got the message when he let the ball go out![]()
S8 has it about right....
One thing that made me chuckle, unfortunately, when their second went in, a bloke near me stood up and beckoned everyone to vote with their feet as the 'only way to change things', he went down the steps, from the top, and stood at the bottom for the rest of the game moaning![]()

Yates was never going to win owt against dunk in the air and got no other option on the bench, comes to something when we've got to rely on a kid up on his own to do something says everything about this season one bullock dropped after another
5 home games to go....wish it was May...
Tactically that was the worst I have ever seen.
We decided to play a young 'fox in the box' small striker up front on his own against 2 giant and accomplished centre halves and spend 70 minutes lumping it up to him. Then we change by putting a second player up front, this time our tricky but incredibly small winger but continue to lump it.
Brighton's tactic at set pieces was to knock the ball past the back post for the centre half to head it back across goal. Allowing this to happen once was poor but they tried it again and we left the guy on his own again, then they tried it again and guess what??
Tactics and game management are at an all time low. When I was 10 years old playing at school the manager would say at half time, keep it tight for the first 5 minutes of the second half. Warne seems to do the opposite.
