What our budget was & will be next season.All I hear is its competitive,competitive to what.Could K/J have gone to T/S & asked for some money only to be told it's too much,then K/J saying that's not a competitive budget for the championship.

People are a little confused over so called budget.

TS has already started spending what he includes in next season's budget eg Purrington.

His figure whatever that is includes the Purrington transfer so don't get too optimistic as the smoke and mirrors has already started!

Exactly what happened last season....with a "competitive" budget any manager would spend it to maximise the chances of success.

But AS had to buy within this "competitive" budget and brought in the best players he could get for the money.

To be fair they have been our best players this season - with clever use of the loan market Izzy - Adeyemi have been excellent.

That "competitive" budget is THE question isn't it. And saying AS blew the lot only says that it was ludicrously small ........add up the dosh we've spent on players this season......and it equates to about up to the knee of one leg of a "championship player"

So will the league one budget be competitive....Quite right :

And - personally - I would like to have a definition of "Silly Money".....because we didn't spend masively this year did we.

Just spent within another shoestring budget !

The club have been woefully under financed this year and that's a death warrant in the championship !

AS did his best but was culled just when progress was being made - perhaps so the club could blame him and not the woeful budget.....as appears to be happening....but do the figures and you'll find that for the allocated budget
Merlin would have failed.
