No, he's lost his way a little, be that as a result of injury or the effects of our awful season, but he has the talent and if he can recapture his true form he'll be a real force in League 1.

I'd sell Taylor before Newell. Never been a winger.

just shows the ambition of these big championship clubs that they are interested in players who formed part of a team which has been so poor!

Along with taylor, newell is not a winger, neither are any good at defending and leave Mattock exposed. He is better in the middle, possibly playing the adeymi roll.

The problem for me is that Newell hasn't lasted more than about 70 minutes in most games this season and he shirks tackles.
He's got undoubted ability but we've hardly seen it this season.
There are no guarantees that he can recover his fitness and his form and we can't afford to carry passengers in the squad.
Also, if a Championship club are really interested in him, he'll go. His agent will make sure of that.

Strange one with Newell because he can look like a world beater in 1 match and goes missing the next. If he can let his ability out on a consistent basis then he would be our best player and our biggest asset. I think he might come good next season in league 1 though and i think it would be a mistake personally if we sold him.

Ambivalent on this one. For whatever reason he's lost his way a bit; might do him good to move on to pastures new, plus we might get a decent fee. Flip side; it would be really good to see him recapture his best form with us. That would be a real asset in L1
