So we sign blackstock and he's too old and injury prone we need to get up and coming players in is the shout from the fans.
We sign someone who is raw but hopefully has potential and it's a depressing signing and a sign that we're skint.
Now imagine that we had tried to sign him and Barnsley came in and took him off us there would be uproar on here that we've got no ambition and we will only sign crocks at the end of transfer window when nobody else wants to them.

Why not just wait till end of transfer window and see who we get in.
