Judge me on this season - Warne

As he looks to build a squad for a successful 2017-18 season, Paul Warne is warning players it will be tough. - External Link

I agree, give the bloke a chance but if it's a dodgy start the knives will be out

Yes will will certainly judge you

I hope it works out for him especially since he's had to go on a course (which he still needs to finish later on) for it to be in check with the rules.

"I am looking forward to a clean slate, really having a go and being judged for what I’ve done this year.” Warne asked...

So why is he being so negative to Ball ?

I don't think this lad wants to be a full back .... so is PW subtlety being constructive in his departure.

Ball is good enough to be a defensive utility player....with a full pre-season - fit - young - strong.....

Probably down to the new wage structure......gawd elp us !

Last season pre-season "sales" patter by TS on the training facility to entice young players to the club - modelled on Everton’s highly rated 'Finch Farm'....is long gone.

The club will now be run according to the turnstile clicking. No more major subsidised projects.....purely organic growth - so.........we must start to think like the old days.....:

"Ask not what your club can do for you, ask what you can do for your club"

Then we'll grow and deserve it together.....a big ask that - in our "better things to do society".

Down to the club's inclusivity policy.

Sounds likes he will probably play a 4-3-1-2 formation or maybe 4-4-1-1 formation for tougher matches. Barnsley fans are saying Williams plays the no 10 role. I understand D Ball does as well so thats why I come to that conclusion. So putting that pattern into some sort of team maybe the opening game could look summat like this:

    O' Donnell
    Fisher, Ajayi, Ihiekwe, Mattock
    Forde, Frecks, Taylor
    Ball
    Clarke Harris, AN Other

    If playing 4-4-1-1
Add Potter to centre of midfield and take out one of forwards.

I think we should play 2,3,5 just like we did as kids - always plenty of action and goals - too much **** written about formations - we have let the Jonnie Foreigners dictate what formation and how we play.
For those of you on here under 60 years old I recommend you watch the 1966 World Cup games , fantastic football and no fancy diets and formations .

Fans can hope and prey as much as they like. This club is going nowhere soon.

Rolymiller. Don't like yr side at all. Vaulks is gong to play either midfield or R back. Wouldn't select Forde or Taylor.

    Going:

    Odonnell

    Fisher Ajayi Ihiekwe Mattock

    Williams Vaulks Potter Bailey-King

    Ball JCH
