o/t When should people stop campaigning for equality?

And would we know when we have it or not?

I am not sure we do. It seems that many of us campaigning for equal rights etc want to be "liked" by everyone which is a different idea altogether from equal rights.

An Afro- Carribean work colleague of mine said something quite courageous the other day at work. He had been overlooked for promotion and someone in the staffroom suggested he might have been discriminated against.

The Afro-Carribean who missed out on promotion replied " bro.....I handed my "race card" in years ago".

I wonder how many of us would have the same honesty and integrity?

At one time in the civil service the positive discrimination was rife.

Every term of discrimination was reversed so people flew through the ranks to fill "quotas".

They no way deserved their positions and good workers suffered discrimination because of these "Quotas"....bad if not worse !

Right person for the job - the end !
