Good preview Donz. I suspect we will have our work cut out this weekend. Though I go to limited games I was at our home game v Spurs last season and they were clinical in the second half. I hope Tarks can forge a secure partnership with Mee in central defence and that our midfielders can chip in with ***** goals. Cork and Brady fired the goals at Ewood and our midfield may well provide the key to getting a result at Wembley. It would make up for the disappointments of 1947 & 1962.

We need a Graham Roberts 2 OGs deja vu job. Who will be our Billy Hamilton?

    .

True that Chelsea took the points against Spurs...and that we took the points against Chelsea - but the first half Chelsea were atrocious, and with 9 men during the second half....Chelsea were back to reasonable and dominating play against a full strength Burnley.
So if the Lilywhites can play to the same standard as a 9 man Chelsea - and we can't lift our game to another level (especially after seeing us fail to even put the ball between the posts against an uninspiring West Brom) then i'm afraid...it doesn't bode well.

Sunday...Will need to be on top of our game across the field - for the full 90+mins...so fingers crossed- we'll be seeing a radical change for the better.

    Thanks Donz.

    Well put together Donz.

Brady for me has to be more consistent, played a good last game against a poor side, also I feel he hogs free kick's and a variety of players taking them would be good, Hendrick also needs to up his game for me.

With Spurs movement in attack our Defence is going to be tested to the hilt, hopefully if we concede early we don't drop our heads and concede too many, after saying that I always say attack is the best defence and if we set out to be more aggressive it would help our defenders a great deal.

A shame Barnes may be leaving us, he's close to the knuckle with getting in players faces which is what we need, but we also need someone more potent around the final third.

I wonder if Tripps will be fit to play as he hobbled off against Chelsea.
Walker Peters will be an able replacement though.
We seem to have a much stronger side now and I'm wondering who will get the nod in midfield and up front as the back 5 seem to pick themselves. Will we play two up front or stick with the 4-5-1. Even getting on the bench looks hard now

I agree with Donz that Brady could be key this season, we needed more in an attacking sense from our wide men than Arfield and Boyd were capable of delivering, and Brady was signed to improve that area. He hasn't really delivered yet, but you can see the potential, if he can just tidy up his game, cut out the silly basic errors, he can still be the player we thought we were signing, the player we need. And if he does start turning it on, along with Defour and Cork, it might just be pleasurable playing up front for BFC this season, not the donkey work it often is.

Then all it needs is Iceland to slip into gear and we're looking at mid-table. Or not.

It's that simple, but simple can be difficult, as I often find when trying to boil an egg.

I can solve that little difficulty for you donz.

Put your eggs into boiling water....cover the pan.....keep boiling for one minute.....take off the heat......leave for five minutes.

Job done, perfect boiled eggs, never fails. Well it's never failed for me, but if it does blame Elizabeth David, not me.

Now I presume that is for soft centres but what about a hard one.
