Is Maguire any worse than others in the squad. No true world class players there. Thought Cahill would have been classed as surplus by now. Was poor in Euro finals summer 2016.

Better than stones I'd say is he world class no clue not seen him play for England yet.

At min I'd like England team to be like this

    Butland
    Walker Cahill maguire Keane
    Dier Hughes Lingard
    Alli. Rashford
    Kane

    Captain Cahill

Hughes ha she had no prem game time o he won't be called up but as a support for defence and assists he can make with his pace he would complete what England need

fair points but I just don't think he is good enough, maybe he'll surprise us but is there a bet on him being the first to be red carded?

Not seen that much of him but, from what I have seen, I must admit I am surprised he has made the squad. Perhaps he's much better than he looked when I've seen him.

I hope we are not descending back to the quality of England teams from the days when even Wednesday players, like Hirst and Palmer, could get a game.

I'd honestly never heard of the bloke and when I saw this thread assumed he was a contestant on something like BGT or The Voice.

Do you think if he was still at Hull he would be in the squad ? Seems to me you get a move to a club that decent in size or maybe has won something and its a auto call up to the England set up . IMHO nowhere near England quality .Thats why we will win **** all for the next 15 years with lumps like him in the set up.

I never rated him when he was at the Blunts but he's really impressed me for Hull, good in the air, assured on the ball, he lacks pace but makes up for it with his positioning, I personally think his price tag was much better value than what Everton payed for Keane and I'm surprised nobody better than Leicester came in for him.

Interesting question Poker about if he still played for Hull, I'd say no probably not due to the snobbery in England football (up stairs mainly)

Do you think any of our players might get a call up one day. I'd say no with the current squad
