Window closing, do we need another CB

The defence looks pretty strong & solid, only Berradi & Pennington missing, but with Jansson / Cooper, always likely to pick up cards / suspensions, Shaughnessy looks good, but we could be expecting too much, to soon, yes Ayling can fill in centre role if needed, but at RB, has been superb, does that leave a possible weakness at CB?
If a CB was signed, would need to partner Jansson from the start, not a squad player.

Depends how long Pennington will be out for . Either way think we could do with someone better than Shaughnessy from what I've seen. Nothing against the lad but reckon he'll never be amazing defensively . Happy enough with Jansson , Cooper and Pennington being rotated think that's a more than a decent enough level for this league .

Still think we need a genuine LB, I love Berardi but we are so limited going forward in that area because he isn't a natural attacker and is right footed. Anita does a job, but nothing more.

    Striker, looking like Lasogga.

Think if we got those two positions we'd have a very good squad, would like another central midfielder in as I don't reckon much to Klich so far, but he has had limited time and may prove to be another good addition in the long run.

We could really do with either a CB or LB just to ensure we don't get too stretched but it doesn't seem likely to happen, attention seems to be on Lossaga and the Swedish winger.

or an LB who can play RB if needed so Ayling is freed up for centre back. Think we just need one more option in there, a specialist LB who can deputise elsewhere in dire situations.

Are we saying that we need another LB, to compliment Borthwick-Johnson or that we just don't rate him

We also have the utility players Anita & Beradi that play LB & RB if required.

Think we're okay at the back, personally. I know it's fashionable to have full backs flying down the wing, crossing like the Pope at easter, but I like solid and boringly dependable and doing a job and leaving the hard running to the wingers with them overlapping once in a while. No confusion as to roles and complaints about tracking back.
