Ridiculous isn't it?
It's doubtful as to whether it will catch on over here though.
Imagine the sweaties being ordered to pull down the Willaim Wallace statues......

Should statues such as Nelsons be pulled down & should pensioner soldiers be held to account for the incidents during the "troubles"?
If statues need to be removed for supporting slavery and terrorism etc, then I would ask for every statue to be removed i.e. Nelson Mandella to name one
Unreasonable to expect soldiers to be held account for following orders. If there is a single incident where a soldier killed someone without cause then perhaps so be it.
If so then the murderring IRA b@satrds in Birmingham / Manchester etc need to be hung out to dry.
It all seems so one sided on both parts
But with what's going on in USA and proposed in the UK it seems more of an attempt to use PC to kick a country in the teeth.
This is all propaganda for an evil agenda against us to drag us down to their level.

It might catch on here as unreasonable are trying to act out their own prejudice against us in asking for it
Horatio Nelson has been revered in this country for over 200 years now, it would be hypocritical to now think otherwise. Churchill, although considered a warmonger by some was obviously a brilliant leader but I get your point, there are those out there who just simply want to stoke up the trouble.
Regarding the IRA, we are all told to "move on" although this is obviously easier said than done. Our forces concentrated solely on their 'soldiers' whereas the IRA were indiscriminate as to who died, hence the placing of bombs under cars in busy high streets.
Going off subject a bit but keeping with the theme, the hypocrisy of some people today, especially celebrities angers me.
When shown some of the TV shows or events from say, the seventies, they show a look of disgust and shock. "How did they ever get away with it?" they say.
But it didn't bother them at the time.
I agree Newcy = although in todays standards it is considered wrong but in the day it was actually funny. I laughed when the guy called his neighbour honky as much as I laughed at the other calling him nig nog
To me they highlighted the small minded futility of racism rather promote racism But in todays climate idiots choose to see it as cosh to beat us with. In those days we didn't laugh because we were racist. We laughed because being racist like this was being shown as stupid and we laughed at how stupid people were to be racist.
Ahhhh, Love Thy Neighbour.
Agreed, it was laughed at because it was funny. The two long suffering wives were best of friends, exasperated by the antics of their husbands. The joke was on BOTH of the lead men, both gave as good as they got.
The same sort of scenario when Johnny Speight created Alf Garnett. A predujiced bigot but bloody funny and totally harmless.
I've lost my glasses ya ConT. Wait til I tell Claw about this
Alf Garnet was a good program and again wasn't taken serious but seen as how futile racism is so probably did more to counteract racism then promote it.
