    Back Home

Just got back from my yearly 3 week holiday in Kalkan, Turkey, didn't rain once and temps constantly in the high 30's.

Plenty of Burnley fans who live in Kalkan, but moved onto Dalyan near Dalaman for the last 3 day's, was walking down a street when coming towards me I noticed Claret and Blue walking towards me, it was really hot and he had a training jacket on which was zipped up which baffled me, all I could do was walk towards him shake his hand and say "Good Man", I wish I'd have taken a photo as he looked good in out colours but he must have been roasting.

    Brilliant Country Colner.

Been going to Kalkan for the last 13 years, although its getting too populated now, over 50% of the Villa's are empty due to too many having been built and they are still building, but after saying that the Kalkan residents in particular are getting too greedy with over charging what holiday makers do stay there, and with the terrorists activities the way it is that is also keeping them away, but its no worse than any other holiday destination as you can get blown up in Spain just as you can in Turkey.

Spent some time in Antalya last year which is also good, felt a lot better in Dalyan as Kalkan is hilly and Dalyan is flat, to give you an indication of Kalkan being a rip off, a full English breakfast in Kalkan is 25 Lira (just over a fiver) in Dalyan its 11 Lira and just as good.
