    Noble/Cooper

Rumours from FGR that they have released Noble after a big bust-up with Cooper. Let's hope Cooper hangs on long enough to get sacked next Saturday at 5pm.

If Noble is now available for free rather than £100k... ...I still wouldn't touch him with a barge pole!

Let's hope we don't renew our interest in Noble.

Perhaps he wanted to come back, and he's told Cooper he's glad they are bottom.

I think I t's pretty well known Noble wanted to come back to Notts and the FGR chairman Dale Vince and Manager Mark Cooper sabotaged the deal even after Notts offered their £100K asking price. It would therefore be no surprise then if Noble with his volatile temperament looked at Notts start to the season and compared it to how FGR have fared so far and shared his thoughts with Cooper in a very direct fashion.
On the FGR forum is a post from a Mrs Magpie who says the rumours are true. Perhaps she's someone close to Noble who's got an insight into what's gone on.
I'm very much looking forward to witnessing the reception Mark Cooper gets at Meadow Lane next Saturday if he lasts that long.

All the more reason we don't want him, if true. We certainly know he has a volatile temperament, and that won't change in the space of a season. One of the more incredible things about the summer transfer saga was that some posters on this forum started talking as if this lad was the final piece of the jigsaw and would be willing to have him back. The reality is that we now have at least four midfielders who are better than Liam Noble, and that during his time here he was nothing more than average. One of the more overrated players in the lower leagues in my opinion.

From reading 8 pages of that thread, it would seem they are a club in a crisis with a manager that is falling out with players as quickly as he is fans.
