Millers banter Spireites (Chesterfield) Checkatrade cup

    Tuesday 3rd Oct 7pm KO

I won't be here but I'll watch the full match on I follow when it's available to see how Ben Wiles gets on in our midfield

Surely we can win this one or will the new manager syndrome kick in for them ?

Won't be going to this because i'm boycotting this ridiculous tournament but it will be interesting to hear how the younger lads get on if they play. I wonder if the team will look something like this.

    O'Donnell
    Cummings, Ajayi, Onariase, Mattock
    Bray, Vaulks, Towell, Forde
    Wiles
    Yates

Will be going to give the lads the support. Hope we play 8/9 players who have been watching from the bench/stand
    O'Donnell
    Emmanuel. Ajayi, Manny. Warren
    Forde wiles vaukes bray
    JCH. Yates.

Nice option to be able to pick two teams

That would be my team selection as well cayton.
Ben Wiles is a local lad hope he has a decent game if he plays.

This used to be a decent competition for lower league teams when it was the Auto Windscreens or Johnstone's Paint trophy but since the Premier League got it's grubby fingers on it, any semblance of credibility has gone.
B teams playing kids teams, one point awarded if you lose on penalties, 7.00pm kick offs, tiny crowds......you couldn't make it up.

Totally agree as im sure most others do...all to give their surplus players real match competition..the ones they bought to stop other teams buying them, and who will never play a part in the premiership...if it stays like this, id love to see it fold..
