Being reported he has died aged 66 after suffering a major cardiac arrest where he was taken to hospital that showed he had no brain activity so life support was switched off,Rip to a fine musician,3 wilburys now gone

Always loved "Free Fallin" by Tom Petty.

One of those artists who's stuff would come on and you'd find yourself singing along to,very understated but a class musician.

He always looked the same,I just watched the Free Fallin video and he looked the same nearly 29 years ago.

    That track is timeless.

    RIP Tom.

Saw him play a few months back. A fine musician. His mentor was Don Felder from The Eagles. He learnt from the best. Will be missed. RIP Tom

I like Tom Petty music but bought hardly any. One compilation cd is all I remember owning.

I heard this sad new this morning and also thought 3 of the 4 Travelling Wilburys now passed.

Tom Petty had a unique voice best demonstrated in one of my favourite songs of his Don't come around here no more.

    RIP.
