    Ian Woan lifts the lid

    I knew little of him, but found this LET interview very illuminating. Sean’s best man holiday companion and flat mate, they are in each other’s pockets. Good manners are essential, the process is almost democratic in that views are sought and considered, but like Clough sometimes Sean does his own thing.

    It’s hard to see if Sean left that Woan wouldn’t go with him, giving their close bond.

    You can see how the club benefits from what seems 24 hour contact between the two for much of the year. Good to see the boundaries and philosophies of the managerial relationship and I guess we owe Clough some thanks for that.
