    Bruce Dickinson

Just finished reading his autobiography , bloke's a legend!

Lead singer with iron maiden , Olympic fencer , writer , brewer , commercial airline pilot etc etc and just beat cancer.

seen maiden in the 80s a few times , Dave Murray flicked his plectrum at me which I caught as it was heading for my left eye!

should of left it really and gone down like a sack of sh1t

where theres a blame theres a claim !

    Love listening to maiden .

One of the best bands this country has ever produced and loved all around the world.

Glawster, if you haven't seen it I recommend Iron Maiden-flight 666 (catch up on Sky Arts) where Bruce flies the plane on Maiden's world tour.

    Legend indeed.

Twice at the Birmingham Odeon in the mid to late '80s, Somewhere In Time tour and when they headlined at Monsters Of Rock, Donington.

The Monsters Of Rock show is one of my favourite live experiences, Rime Of The Ancient Mariner was outstanding.

I still listen to 80's and 90's Maiden, something I'll never get bored of.

    Any excuse to play this.

    Surely Bruce's finest vocal.

Sorry, but I found all those sort of bands, Iron Maiden, Judas Priest et al totally embarassing and pretentious. All that posturing with the guitar like its some phallic symbol and pumping fists in the air. I am afraid Spinal Tap summed them up. Not for me.

    agreed great song !

as far as Bruce's voice range my favourite would be the Powerslave album and song " the duellists"

    That or "aces high"

either song tbh makes me want to build a shed in the garden!!!

Which Odeon gigs did you do on SIT tour. I did the first and third. I think I have seen Maiden 30 odd times first time was 83 and booked my Brum and London tickets Monday for next year.
As far as Bruce the man he can be a bit of a cock
