    Happy Birthday...

    ...Jimi Hendrix b. 1942.

On the radio they have just played 5 favourites voted for by the listeners. Pleased to hear they were all early JH Experience and the second last one played an old favourite off Are You Experienced. The simple but totally brilliant Red House. So good to hear it. Happy Birthday

    Any excuse for me Q.

One of my favourite clips, the close up shows just how big Jimi's hands were. He could wrap his fingers around the neck, probably one of the reasons how he made it look so easy.

    Happy birthday Jimi.

Was very lucky to see him live. I listen and try to jam along with Jimi most days, Rehouse and Little wing are my favourite's.
Wonder what he would be playing, reckon it would be the blues with his twist on it.
Have you seen this Newcy https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IPtv14q9ZDg Jimi on a 12 string

Yes I've seen it Soulman thanks.

Hendrix was before my time but I can imagine he came across as a very humble and likeable young man.
It's hard to comprehend he was only 24 when he started to get noticed and had a very short time in the limelight.

    The bloke had everything.

Anyone know when it's Julius Caesar's birthday? It would be nice to wish him a happy one.

The ides of March. Not so 'happy' as he was assassinated by people he knew.
