    Fletcher

Barely four and a half months ago we kicked off the new season full of optimism. Made some 'decent' signings - Krychowiak, Gibbs, Rodriguez, Barry and Burke. Added to a squad which finished 10th. Yet look at us now. What has gone wrong?

Although most of the focus has been on Pulis, I wonder whether the loss of Fletcher was the big loss. Not so much his ability on the ball but his leadership. We now look bereft of leadership on the park. Maybe he looked shot towards the end of last season but then so did most of the team. I guess we can all now see the rot set in around last March and a kind of creeping malaise set in. But I still feel the loss of Fletcher has had the biggest impact.

My thoughts on Fletcher was he had a good season then fell away badly for us , not really lit stoke up has he , for ME its NOT investing in real quality signings 2nd rate players or even 3rd rate in some cases , basically No real investment 40milliom is nothing by today's standards particularly with an ageing squad that we have , we have to look deeper than the management , TP Yes his football was the worst I have seen from a west Brom team , but peace made millions out of west Brom then sold to a Chinese owner who paid well over the odds & he don't want to invest any more money than he has to , here lies the problem for we have a forward thinking manager now who's hands are tied & will probably have to sell to generate cash & he will have to sell our best assets, it's just a vicious circle we need a break from somewhere because the clock is ticking down ,
