The "victims" all seemed to sing from the same "contrived" hymn sheet to me.

Most of them had been debriefed (forgive the pun) by the Met and without going through the trial transcripts most seemed to be drunk or drugged either before or after they got in this dudes taxi.

Nine years behind bars seems a lot to me but whatever...

I have never really been able to get my head around the idea that a passenger gets into a taxi with a totally unknown to them driver.

The said driver then offers the passenger a glass of quite possibly spiked something alcoholic and a couple of tablets to soothe their journey or help celebrate a "Lottery win".

    Doh!

The Parole Board aren't the problem, they can only deal with what the courts hand down to them, and this guy was up for parole because the CPS decided only to prosecute a tiny proportion of the offences he'd committed, and so he got off with a lighter sentence. I wonder if Labour's Keir Starmer has come out of hiding yet, all this occured on that useless ****'s watch at the CPS.

It's simply not possible for a jury to deliberate on 100 allegations sinkov.
Each count must go through the full accusation and rebuttal process and the planet would run out of time before any conclusion or conviction could be achieved.
The CPS and the police simply "cherry pick" their top percentage of counts they think will secure a conviction.
In summing up the judge always alludes to the rest of untried allegations and inserts that premise into his sentencing.
Just how many times can one jury hear the same, "I woke up and he had his hand in my blouse" etc?
