Chrissy said Brookseh wouldn't go in JTW...

but the question is, how many of us thought that would really happen?

I honestly thought he would leave and I don't think it was about his illness either because other players move clubs when injured etc.

I think (and hope) that this is CWs decision or influence.

For me this is a turning point in the way the club is looking longer term and we are at last we are building a future quality squad ready for a Prem set up.

If CW said he won't be sold in January then you can take it as read

The problem is the summer. Every time he said it he always ended the sentence with January

I believe that if the interest is there in the summer, then Brooksy will go to allow CW to bring in a couple of top end Championship players. I would like to see a proven Championship striker come in. I know, I know..............they are like rocking horse sh1t, but we don't need 5 signings that are of similar quality to what we already have. Brooksy fee could get us a couple of higher quality players to improve the first team. If we are serious about being contenders, then the team needs to move up a level

    Just my opinion

I confess, I'm a bit confused when it comes to 'top class' championship strikers. If Madine is worth £6m (or £4.5m if you believe that number) and Rhodes is £8m or 10.4m, and Britt Assombalonga or Scott Hogan are £15m or thereabouts, where do we pitch our thinking? Or do we give CW ten bob and a pound of carrots and let him go find another Leon?

I think I'd say the problem isn't that the strikers aren't scoring, its that they aren't getting the service they were getting in the first 15 games.

and lets add Jordan Hugill for £10m - are any of these strikers better than what we have? I don't think so having watched a couple of them recently, and Rhodes, well

Our strikers are good enough for the Championship - we just need to improve their service IMHO

im a bit inbetween on this topic no our strikers havent been getting great service but still think we need at least 1 more quality striker in next season the likes of grabban and afobe are the types im thinking of but unless we get new investment or brooks is sold its not gonna happen as for the goalkeeping situation jamal will certainly be back at chelsea and i think chris will do same again and bring another loan keeper in simon moore however is still a very good keeper imo utb ftp

Your final sentence is the best post you've made on here.
I said the same thing a number of times way before you but credit where credit is due.
