Barnsley FC seek applicants for the post of Head Coach. The main duties are as follows--

1 To work within the constraints of the smallest transfer and wages budget in the league even though the owners are wealthy enough to fund the NHS shortfall.

2 Little or no input is required into the choosing of the squad you will work with. This will be done by the CEO using the latest Spreadsheet facility.

3 Your primary duties will be the daily polishing of rough diamonds and turds in order that they may be sold for a profit as they develop and shine.

4 You will be expected to maintain the club's Championship status even though your squad will change annually.

5 You will be required to undertake the duties of the CEO in addition to your own should the CEO position be vacant, possibly for months on end.

6 You will have little or no liaison with your employers as they will not be on site as their focus is elsewhere and they have little interest in, or knowledge of, football.

Your salary will be one of the smallest in the league and you will be on a one year rolling contract. There is the possibility of a release clause for an outstanding candidate.
