Mahreez- would you take him back ?

I wouldn’t. He’s under contract at £100,000 a week and just because he couldn’t get what he wanted he goes AWOL. We all go through a spell where we can’t get what we want in life and we just have to get on with it. Manchester City couldn’t have been that interested in the player as they valued him much less than what Leicester wanted. If he doesn’t get back to Leicester don’t pay him. His agent will also feel a difference in his bank balance as well. Maybe it’s a job for an independent arbitrator to sort out not the PFA Anyone got any thoughts on this ?

They should suspend him, fine him what he would have been earning and tell him that he will not be released --even if he does not turn up for training --he must fulfil his contractual obligations.

In this case I would be in full agreement with BT.

    In principle I agree.

But Leicester must realise that they have a £60 million asset that they are in danger of losing it. So it is not in their interest to terminate his contract.

On the other hand, with him contracted to August 2020, and with him on £100k PW, Mahreez and his agent will want a resolution before long.

I think he will be doing a fair bit of gardening until Summer and then move on.

Pep said he isn’t interested in him any more because of his recent actions, so he’s pushed himself into a corner.

That makes a pleasant change, someone having to face up to the consequences of their own greed, stupidity and selfishness.

    The Star was my source

Guardiola was considering making another bid to land him in the summer as he looks to add another attacking star to his squad.

But the Spanish boss is said to have major concerns about the character of Mahrez and will now look elsewhere.
A club source said: “The manager loves him as a player, there is no secret about that, but what he’s seen in the last week or so has given him huge doubts about what sort of person he is.
