What I would like to know is, should this be proven to be a load of codswallop, will Bong then be charged with making false accusations against Jay?
Perhaps they should bring in VAR in cases like this.
I am very sad to say that football at the top level is disappearing up its own arsehole.

Unless the cameras were on Jay's face during the incident then it's a case of his word against Bong's. And I think that if it had been caught by a camera it would have been shown by now.

If the ref heard anything he would surely have taken action.

Therefore I don't think Jay has owt to fear.

Bong has accused West Brom striker of saying he "stinks because he is black" but Rodriguez denies using racist language and insists he said nothing more than "your breath stinks"

Storm in a tea cup unless Bong has a corroborator.

I know which phrase was more likely to have been said. Let’s see if anyone is prepared to testify as a witness or whether there is any camera footage which would enable a lipreader to give an opinion on the actual words spoken.

And 3,000 people once voted BNP in Burnley. He's white, he was brought up in a hotbed of racism, he said something not very nice to a black player.

Guilty as charged. Send him down.

I was taking the proverbial when I referred to the indispensible VAR, however, in the PL's efforts to move everything into technology, there have been many who want the referees miked up so why not go the whole hog and mike the players up as well --this would then be an open and shut case!
