To be fair it wasn't all bad, he did send the keeper the wrong way.

On checking chalky it’s a half size model, there’s a real one in Oxford I gather as they did a DoDo tour with it in 2015.

Thanks for that OC,it was a bit of a surprise when I read what you wrote about it being an amazing place for families with a Spitfire until I reread it
I've always visualize Dodos as being the same size a duck but as you say they was big birds,I would love to see one (nota model) but I thought that as they had all died out in the 18th century (?) then there wouldn't be any stuffed ones in existence, I'm not normally a fan of taxidermy but then again im not going to see one down my local duck pond either

    Chalky
This is the one (or part of 1) in Oxford University seems it’s the largest surviving bit of one.

Re the Kelvingrove You can see the Spitfire and the Elephant Sir Roger in the third photo.
Kelvingrove Museum opened in 1901 and is a firm favourite with local people and visitors. It has stunning architecture and a family friendly atmosphere.

Explore our 22 ********* and discover everything from art to animals, Ancient Egypt to Charles Rennie Mackintosh and so much more. We also have a changing programme of temporary exhibitions and displays.

Enjoy an organ recital, a free tour or at weekends and holidays take part in one of our family activities.
