Absolutely no point to the article as far as I can see.
It was originally published in The Sun on Sunday and then repeated in both the Mail and the Mirror.
Apart from the fact that he hails from Soham it is a non-news item.

Perhaps they are hoping that, with his excellent record this season, Nick is going to save Huntley!

I'll bet the murdered girls' parents are more than happy to have the story regurgitated...

Yes it really is disgusting how low the right-wing gutter press will stoop to sell newspapers. I wonder how the parents of those poor children murdered at Dunblane felt about this story being regurgitated ?

Whoops, that wasn't the right-wing gutter press in action, it was the lefty bible, the Grauniad. So that's alright then ?

I'm not getting involved in a perceived right wing media conspiracy theory against Nick Pope.

I'm just uncomfortable with digging up the death of two girls to write a story about the Burnley goalkeeper. The Gold Top shot stopper with the fastest milk round in the west was charming. Soham, Huntley and Carr have no relevance to this story of the remarkable rise from obscurity of a previously unknown goalkeeper.

Dunblane should IMHO only be regurgitated in reference to the desperate need for gun control. That incident shocked our country to the core and the response from our government at the time could be replicated in the US if Trump had the cojones to take on the NRA.

I suppose it might be a distraction however from the political landscape when a band of **** stars and ex-Playboy models are revealing the size of your manhood?

Just read this article. I honestly had no idea Judy Murray had her two sons trapped within that tragic scene.

Not sure what relevance the Dunblane article in the Guardian brings to the Soham tragedy and a tenuous link to Nick Pope though?

Judy Murray gave the guy lifts ... with the boys in the back! It’s only recently Andy spoke on the subject and I expect Nick doesn’t want to go there. It would be nice for Soham to be better known as the birthplace on the England keeper.

It turned out they knew the guy. They had been to the boys’ clubs he ran locally at the high school. I knew him, too – I’d given him lifts from the boys’ clubs to the station. He was a bit of an odd bod, but I wouldn’t have thought he was dangerous. So he’d been in my car.
