    safe standing...

... now it is entirely possible that, next season, West Brom and Shrewsbury Town will both be playing in the championship.

so, how come, West Brom have been refused permission to install safe standing, but Shrewsbury have been granted permission???

Something to do with the way the proposal was framed?

Or maybe it is because Baggies are premier league at minute still and not mathematically down so goes via a different body?

It'll be good to see some safe standing back.

    Safe standing is great

According to BBC article - Official reason is that the law says all stadiums are seated and there is no plans to change the law, in which case how have Shrewsbury got it confirmed

it wont do it due to pissed up people not being able to control themselves

i have stood in stadiums in germany recently and when we went to europe a few years back and i think it s a better experiance

you get the plastics and theatre goers who think footy is just a spectacle sport and wan comfy chairs and no atmosphere who will be against it
but really you wantto be standing and singing
just like you do in church

Whilst i think you're being a bit of **** here simply because not everybody can stand for 90 minutes and therefore they need the seats (my grandad and people of his age being a prime example) i don't disagree with the standing and singing like in church bit.

No denying that German matches have good atmospheres a lot of the time either.
