    Merino

When Merino first came I thought he was a good signing and had great expectations of him, but as time has passed I have become disappointed in him, seems to be in the same mould as Perez, easily pushed off the ball. Granted, he hasn't had a lot of game time but he just doesn't do it for me. He has flashes of good passing but that's about all. Hopefully he progresses next season.

He´s shown more than enough to be given some time. I think he could become a big player for us in a strong squad in the future.

He's definitely got 'something'...just not sure what his position is. I'd like to see him in a more advanced role but unless he played instead of Perez he'd have to replace Shelvey.

    Honestly don't know about him.

He was excellent to start with, then got that back injury and seems to have struggled since.

Assuming Rafa stays and Merino has a good pre-season i think we'll see more of him next season.

Yeah, as above, hes got a great left foot, jury still out though for me. Still young though, too many times in the past I think we have been too quick to dismiss young players and move them on.We need to keep players like him and Murphy, and add quality players to the squad, which will help them develop. Hope he realises his undoubted talent next season, but will he have the patience to be a squad player?
