    Clearing the decks

Who will be sold and for roughly how much?

Normally clubs sell their weakest links
And try to improve the playing squad.

Sometimes clubs sell their big players for big amounts to fund rebuilding.

With Rafa we need shot of the dross.

We could do with a decent striker or two

For me all 3 strikers can go
Well could get almost £40 million

To be blunt, Lascelles aside I wouldn't be upset about any being sold at the right price as long as Rafa got the proceeds.

Like to see as much of the craap out as possible - especially the ones who haven't and aren't likely to play a minute. Players like this who we don't sell to be sent out on loan with recall clauses and the ones who don't want to play or go out on loan their contracts paid up and shown the door.

Ideal world purchases. I’d go for 2 new CB one to really push the current two and a back up. A new RB and cover at LB. New winger and no10 and 2/3 strikers.

And in an ideal world sales Manquillo, Lazaar, Haidara, Mbemba (although I do like him and reckon he’d make a canny holding midfielder) and Clark.

Aaron’s (if he isn’t locked up) Colback, Mitro, Gayle, Joselu

I think we'll see Sels, Mbemeba and Mitro go, their sales should net us a reasonable amount.

Then i'm not convinced many more will go as i don't think Rafa will want to reduce his numbers to much.

Aye - it´s FIFA football manager time, which is fair enough cos it´s good to share opinions on building the squad, however, many will be disappointed at how little our SQUAD (not the team, I hope) changes. We cannot afford to off load too many players in case of injury. I don´t see many more than Colback, Sels, Gamez, Lazaar, Mitro and Haidara leaving (I hope Manquillo goes too) but I´d certainly want to keep Clark and Mbemba.

Lascelles will stay on at least another season as long as the club is progressing which I reckon it is at the moment, even if Ashley stays on - he just needs to give Rafa the cash he promised him.

Saivet, Colback, Mitrovic, Lazaar and whoever else is out on loan hopefully will all be gone as they are not wanted by Rafa.

Manquillo, Joselu and Mbemba I personally think will stay, though there will be no objections from me if they leave.

I'm actually more intrigued by who we'll sign as I have no idea what kind of players we can attract at the moment and what our budget will be...

Unfortunately I think Mbemba will be sold,I would keep him, I like him,did great as makeshift leftback, why not try him at right back which would suit him better.

I agree Tino, but if Rafa doesn't plan on using him there's no reason for him to stick around. For us him leaving will free up some money that can be spent on wages for a player that Rafa plans on utilising.

    Agree. Same with Mitro, really.

In different teams with different styles I'm sure both could be successful, but, for various reasons, neither fit into Rafa's team or style so they'll both be off.
