Ha Ha, before I even clicked on your thread I was thinking, "got to be baseball". I have only ever watched one game and funnily enough it was also the Mariners playing Toronto Blue Jays, I spent most of the game wandering around the stadium. It's bad enough on TV, but when you are at the stadium it is the most mind numbing "sport" ever.

First on my list has to be cricket, then golf, then basketball, then baseball. The list is longer but most others are the weird stuff like lacrosse or aussie rules football or gaelic football, etc.

    Those two ditto particularly darts.

They make chess look absolutely scintillating.

Don't mind snooker if you've got two quick moving players, it's the "thinkers" who take forever to play a stroke that does my head in.

Got to say that the typical yankee razzamatazz was amusing - big screen shots/giving out gifts etc. But the rest.... Pants !

I love Hurling and Gaelic football even the commentary can be entertaining.

In one Gaelic football game one of the players give another a real haymaker on the jaw.Quote from the Irish commentator/ he has just given him a bit of sports psychology there.

Golf. Marathon. A hell of a lot of Olympic and winter Olympic sports. I understand the baseball thing though but understand the appeal of the many subtle intracacies it involves. In fact, I once had a couple of free corporate tickets given to me for an Indians and Yankees game when working in the states about 20 years ago. It was the season the Yankees won the world series I believe. Had a few beers on the "Flats" area of Cleveland with a buddy beforehand but we just couldn't bring ourselves to spend the next three or four hours at the game that night. We sold them to a proper baseball fan on the way to the stadium who actually insisted on giving us double the face value. We went back to the bar with the proceeds and had a great old night. I also find tennis before the final excruciating.

    This for me.

    I'd happily sleep through snooker.
