If football is becoming boring and predictable could any of these changes be worth considering?
1. There are no more yellow cards any more—just red. Lets put the emphasis on attacking play.
If a defender takes a forward out taking “one for the team” he is off.
No question about whether he is the last defender--he is off.
With VAR obviously coming in a Ref could not send a player off before VAR confirmation.
2. A free kick can be taken quickly by the offended team. It doesn’t need the Ref to blow “play-on”. If an opposition player is deliberately less than 10 yds from the ball at the time of the free kick he is sent off.
3. Restrict the number of players in the final third of the pitch. More than this number a free kick to the opposition.
4. No more Offside.
5. No more draws. A game drawing at the end of full time is decided by the team that had the most corners.
Your considerations, please.

Think TM was joking BH.
How about players should be made to wear a 2kg weight for every foul they commit and a 5kg one for a yellow.
That way they pay for every offence. An extra stone would slow them down.
Lol
This new game called 'it's not football' will never survive for over 130 years unless they bring in lots of gimmicks to keep the younger end interested.
I just wonder how many officials you need to keep an eye on how many players are in a certain area of the field, oh I forgot you can work it out with VAR ---I am waiting to see this at Blyth Spartans, I wonder who will be paying.
A free kick can be taken quickly if a team wishes, as Man City did against us last season, there is no necessity for referees to be stopping them, although it has been creeping into the game more and more.
In addition you have not addressed the biggest problems with the game which is players cheating and diving. How many times do you see a player having the last touch when a ball goes out of play but yet he appeal for the resultant decision --that is blatant cheating so why not give a yellow card for that if you want to send players off for being less than 10 yards from a quickly taken free kick.
FIFA started messing about with the offside Law before the World Cup in America because they said it would make the game more attacking and there would be more goals. In my opinion, the game has been on a steady decline since that happened in 1994 and there certainly haven't been more goals scored, in spite of the standard of defending having worsened considerably.
No rule change in my lifetime (52) has improved any aspect of the game.
Three subs ... games that don't finish until 5pm ... the pathetic offside rule ... Keepers not allowed to pick up back passes ... three points for a win ... all bloody rubbish ...squad numbers that is another pointless load of foreign crap imposed on us for no good reason ..
Important issue - players cheating .. increasing and increasingly ignored by the officials
FIFA need to adhere to the one golden rule, "If it ain't broke, don't fix it!"
Seriously, if they carry on like this the game will end as we know it.
The joy of kicking a ball and watching people who are better than us it's what it really is all about. Keep it simple!
But that's the point BT
It is broke and it isn't joy.
I watch my grandson playing high level football and it the same old same old.
Boring; predictable and broke.
He has skill and knows the game but is straitjacketed by coaches who will substitute him if he doesn't do the boring thing.
I look for the Pele and don't see him anywhere.
You've just answered your own question ..the problem lies with coaches especially win at all costs U16 coaches who coach their own ego instead of the player ...
