So according to the chronicle there has been a big French TV deal - up to £1.5 billion which is why Strasbourg could afford to buy Sels.

How will this affect things in European football, when the Sky deal came in to start with it meant Prem clubs could start easily out bidding clubs in other leagues, better contract deals for players etc.

Obviously £1.5 billion isn't much in comparison to Sky deal but it puts the French league ahead of Italy, Germany and Spain (bar the obvious 2).

With more money pouring in like this will there be another push for a European Super League again.
