What would be your starting line up?

    Rodak
    Vyner Robertson ajayi purrington
    Taylor vaulks Palmer Williams
    —v———— Smith ————- V
    ...................Vassell

Iv gone for a solid core with speedy wingers giving us a solid defence but a relentless attack.

Might start with something like that at Mansfield today... although Warney said that Proctor will feature. Newell for Williams? Mattock for Purrington? We don't really know our best back four yet, but good to have options

just watched the whole cardiff game on ifollow. tbh any of the 20 could start, no one did anything wrong. the only 4 who i think gtd to start are rodak, palmer, vaulke and smith.. and 2 of those are because we dont have other options in the cm

    Pretty much agree with that.
Some people were critical of Palmer last season but the lad can play and I think he may well excel in the Championship.
Still think we need a minimum of one, and probably two, new central midfielders to strengthen that area although apparently Jones is reasonably comfortable playing there if we're pushed.

aye as you say, 1 poss 2 more in midfield. jones in midfield is a bit like vaulkes at rb. both would do a job though not as good as a someone who plays there all the time... warne iz close to a complete squad

After today's game, the picture isn't any clearer... which I don't view as a good thing , seven days before the season starts. Worryingly, it seems a bit unfocused

    Ideally:
    Rodak
    Jones, Ajayi, Wood, Mattock
Forde new midfielder (defensive), Vaulks, Newmidfielder (attacking), Newell
    Smith

Didn't really play 4-5-1 today though... not entirely convinced about Forde as an automatic choice either, especially after Mansfield penalty today

Today's game has changed my mind a bit compared to what I put on the Brentford thread, so I would go with this :

    Rodak

    Vyner Ajayi Wood Mattock
    Taylor Vaulks Palmer Williams
    Smith Vassell

I was happy with Vyner 2nd half. For me Ajayi and Wood at centre back to give a big of continuity from last season (the 1st half back 4 looked a bit shaky). Taylor and Williams a more dynamic threat for me.
