Scorcher for me which featured The Kangaroo kid, Bobby of the Blues and Billys Boots. Also liked Cor!! with Gus the Gorilla. The best comic today is probably The Sun.

Beano and Dandy,COR and Whizzer & Chips ( which became incorporated ) were my favourites.

TV Comic and Joe 90 magazine I also liked.

Hated the big comics that were like broadsheet newspapers.

Bet Des read the Morning Star as a 7 year old.

    Trotsky old t w a t!

Black Bob, ( not sure if that would be allowed today ) was one of my favourites. He was a working border collie in Scotland and his master was a shepherd called Andrew Glenn, who had a beard and smoked a pipe.
You could do things like that then without being persecuted.

The Valiant and the Victor. The front and back cover always told the story of someone who had won the Victoria Cross during the second world war. I also like to read the Bunty. A girls comic but the stories were good. I think there was one storyline called the four Mary's.

I've always been a bit worried about you, Joy. Now I realise the name has nothing to do with the band.

Long as they're not like Grayson Perry's.
