Wouldnt have Vauiks in,would have Forde in for Newell and use newell as impact player. But beyond that yeah good formation.

Even in the friendlies, Vaulks hasn't looked right, but we've not got many alternatives as Warney won't start with Wiles, and Palmer (aside from the Cardiff friendly) has looked poor so far

I hope Warne can soon start being a bit more flexible and not stubbornly sticking to teams and tactics that are not producing the goods. I appreciate that the manager sees the players every day and has to take into consideration what players are doing in training. At the end of the day though it is what players do on match days not the training ground that counts. We desperately need a couple of good results if the main thing we had going for us last season (confidence) does not disappear.

Were at home. Go for it
2 old men in the back to help the youngsters out
    wood marking morison

    Rodak.
    Vyner. Wood Robertson Jones
    Forde. Vaulks, Manning, Williams.
    Vassell,. Smith..

    Bench options of
    Ajayi,
    Newell
    Proctor
    Taylor
    Palmer
    Ball

Forde to help vyner out with defencive duties And Jones to keep Williams from going walkabout (excuse the pun)
Plenty of attacking options from the bench if needed also Palmer n ajayi if we need to sure up midfield to hold a lead..

Raggett for Robertson if not fit

Lots of good suggestions but Warne still needs to remember that football is a form of entertainment, playing 4-5-1 at home is guaranteed to bore fans and crowds will drop.

Not in the unlikely event that this gets results. The crowd will drop when we keep losing.

Back in Evan's day the faithful hated it when he played 4-5-1 up with Revell on his own.

    Surely Warne remembers that?
