Cup Competitions

Following on from the thread about what sort of team to field in cup competitions.
What are everyone's personal feelings towards them.Are they the same?Are cup competitions not what they were etc.
My personal favourites when I was going was the F.A Cup.Always made a point of going to all F.A Cup games home and away.Never liked the League cup,don't know why but wasn't the same.
European nights were always good as well.Early finish from work,straight in the pub then off to a night match.Those were the days.

Aye, the league cup always seemed like an artificial add on to me and the F.A. Cup was, up until the big money came into the game almost on a par with winning the league.

It seems to have lost a lot of glamour since the bigger clubs appear to have lost a lot of interest in it and almost treat it as nuisance value.

Love the FA cup.

However it has lost lots of its glitz as clubs treat it as a bother and don't even bother hiding that feeling anymore.

League cup always felt like the annoying younger sibling, however i'd still love to win it.

My big bugbear is that Wembly is used for Semi-final games. It should only be used for the final.
